KBA is providing OPM services for study, design and construction of a new co-located Middle School and High School with integrated Prekindergarten. The new building will be constructed within forty feet of an occupied Abington High School. Project scope includes full site development and building construction on existing athletic fields. Construction of two lighted synthetic fields, complete building fit out, owner relocation from three schools and demolition of the existing high school.

The new school is designed to be LEED Silver Certified and meet MSBA “Energy Efficiency – Green School” rating. The school will incorporate sustainable design elements, advanced security systems, integrate educational technology, collaborative learning environments and specialized lab classrooms for STEAM education. The building program includes 68 classrooms, a series of lab spaces for computer, language, business technology, media, digital design, STEAM, and project based collaborative learning. The building also features a 750 seat auditorium, (2) gymnasiums, fitness center, and 89 seat distance learning seminar room.
