Haverhill High School, Haverhill, MA

  • Total Area: 360,000 square feet
  • Total Cost: $33 million
  • General Contractor: 14 General Contractor
  • Project Type: Construction and Renovation

Built in 1963, this high school required many renovations and new construction in order to expand its physical capacity and usability as well as update ADA and physical plant deficiencies. KBA completed this project under budget and ahead of schedule. The scope of work included creating 18 new science labs, a new administration wing and guidance suite, updating the pool, HVAC and security systems and adding accessibility throughout the building. KBA’s design also included common areas where natural sunlight and color was available at all hours of the day. All of these improvements were seamlessly implemented amongst the population of 2,000 students and staff and implemented over a 7½ year phased plan.
